Romy has more than 7 years’ experience in the legal and financial services sectors and is part of IIG’s Investor Services Team.
She joined IIG in 2013 as Legal Counsel, providing strategic advice on corporate governance, corporations law obligations, risk management and overseeing IIG’s transactions across real estate, renewable energy and venture capital. Following the rapid growth of the business, Romy helped establish the Investor Services Team with IIG’s Chief Operating Officer. She now has a client facing and communications role within this team where her legal background continues to be very useful.
Romy began her career at Arnold Bloch Leibler as a solicitor in the commercial dispute resolution team and was admitted to practice in 2012 as an Australian legal practitioner. She has worked in human rights law for Indigenous communities both in Victoria and the Northern Territory. Romy has held a range of roles in non-profit organisations in Melbourne and is currently is on the board of the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce Young Business Forum and the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation at Monash University.
Romy has a Bachelor of Law (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts (Dean’s Scholars Program) from Monash University.
