Nikki is IIG’s General Counsel and is responsible for overseeing all legal aspects of the IIG group including corporate governance, risk management, and facilitating the property, renewable energy and venture capital investments entered into by the group.
Previously, she worked for 11 years in the Projects group at Herbert Smith Freehills, eventually as a Senior Associate advising equity and debt participants on major infrastructure deals including privatisations, acquisitions and public private partnerships both in Australia and overseas, including equity structuring, due diligence, transaction documents and financing arrangements.
During her time at Herbert Smith Freehills, she was seconded to a major investment fund manager as well as a clean energy start-up. She was then a Special Counsel in the Property & Projects group at Hall & Wilcox focusing on renewable energy projects, before she moved across to join IIG.
Nikki has a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne. She is a registered migration agent and volunteers for Refugee Legal.
