It is one of the first solar farms in Australia to incorporate tracking technology. The trackers allow the panels to ‘follow’ the sun, facing it throughout the day, resulting in a longer period to harness the sun’s energy.

The technology increases generation by 20-30% per annum per MWp capacity.

Mount Majura has also been popular with visitors, with the solar farm hosting more than 370 people, including school children, international dignitaries, and renewable energy enthusiasts on various edu- cational visits since December 2016.
